Mustang GT ... Modded?
In the past week or so I came across the later Mustang and the gen. before, the later model caught eye of me passing him at around 80. Next thing you know, he punches it. I punch and follow. We get up to some clear road and punch. It's about 80 - 115ish. He punched early everytime and I would gain back only about 1-2 wheel lengths. Same result on the earlier model. Is this common? Also my top was down. At these speeds, how much does it actually affect the car.<in terms of sec. , maybe 60 - 120 mph>

If you're stock that's pretty common...those things have 305 ft-lbs of torque(at the crank) stock. It's always a tight race from a roll whenever I race s2ks, but i still can't wait to get rid of mine for an honda!

Funny you mentioned the Rustang GT thing...
I ran into 1 last night on the beltway coming from my bowling league. He came from the hwy-59N entrance and got on my a$$.
As soon as the car in front of me took the slow lane, I stepped on the gas. With two 16lb bowling balls and a set of golf clubs in my trunk, I managed to pull away pretty convincingly all the way to 130. I slowed down, pulled to the right lane and waited for him/her to catch up. They caught up and then slowed down right next to me so I revved my engine/HKS a couple of times to let them know that they could *Try Again* . They stomped on the gas, I got out of neutral and promptly caught up and pulled on them again up to 140.
Maybe next time I'll bring my other 2 16lb bowling balls to even it out a bit!.

Last night on the way home from watching Barry hit 70 I got behind this 'Stang with the plates "Furious". I assumed he was modded, I heard him gun it (exhaust) and I did to. I was all on him. I had to keep letting off the gas to keep from hitting him. Possibikity that he wasn't actually flooring it, but it was fun anyway. BTW, top down, and I don't think it matters that much.
