I'd love to see the timeslips of a stock Mustang GT Vert trapping 106.

you win...now I know to never mention an S2000 being out powered by another car because it will hurt some members feelings here...Shame but w/e

BTW to post above..I didn't say the vert does a 106 trap, but the coupe will

the fact that the s2k is even in the same CLASS as a v8 'muscle car' in a 1/4 mile is exactly why the mustang/ford gets made fun of so much.. and exactly why i like my s2k so much. its a 4cyl sports car built more for track/road courses than straight line speed - hell look at what they did to improve it with the CR. there were no attempts at improving hp/tq because it doesn't need that to kill on a track.

i don't see why there is even an argument here

They aren't the same class of car. One is 2 seat sports car the other is a much larger, more comfortable, 2+2. They are in roughly the same performance class, but the s2k is more expensive and less versatile. Make fun if you want, I'm just a little confused about your logic.

Aww, don't be sore!

BTW...don't know why you're still talking about coupes when...heh, just kidding. I had to.

Keep in mind that the main part of my original post was outcornering the Mustang. S2K deftly rotated through the turn while under considerable throttle while GT pushed horribly.

Y'all simma about the trap speeds.

Yeah, and a Pro Stock dragster will do better yet. But it's just as irrelevant.
