They beat me to it, but yeah, I'm surprised you didn't look at the weight, if you were going to bother pasting in the full specs. You can put a 500 HP engine in a tractor trailer, and it still probably won't move that quickly.
I figured it'd be a driver's race, but I was hoping the gearing in the S2k would help out.

But what on earth could that prove? And gearing, whether you like it or not, does affect a cars performance.

It's not like having a 6th gear means it's just a gear that the engineers decided to bolt onto the "end." You could keep the end gear ratio the same if you wanted to, and throw the extra gear in the "middle" and adjust all the ratios in between.

I think his first undoing was the front / rear balance coupled with 300 HP. Any idea what the f/r weight distribution is on those?
