Default Mustang GT Convertible - a little tight are ya?

I was at a light before going under the highway to hit a left turn onto the entrance ramp and a Mustang GT Conv. (late model; fogs, looks like the pics on ford.com) rolled up behind me. I saw him looking down the side of my car from the rear. He was an older guy with maybe his son with him.

The light turned green, and I rolled not so quickly to the next light on the other side of the underpass waiting for traffic to clear. I was still rolling along in 2nd and I see this guy come ripping up my ass. So, I decided to see how well he can hang. I matted it in 2nd and carved the turn perfectly into the left lane of the other road. This guy also matted it and lost the nose 2 lanes over to the right, finally caught it and came up behind me again. I'm thinking, wow just a bit tight there huh. Holy push! He gets on my ass and I'm still in 3rd. I think he was pissed at himself now. I mat it again and actually get a jump on him. We ran up to about 120 (Austin's lovely empty toll roads) and while I didn't walk off and leave him, he didn't catch up either. I was impressed with my Scarlette.

Nice run. I'd imagine few things would infuriate a Mustang driver more than not being able to pull on a little I4 Honda

Nice, perfect timing. I was wondering how an S2k would fare against an 05+ GT. I came up behind one the other day at a light, and he tried to lose me, but I just stayed behind him the whole time.

I'm pretty sure that a 6 speed 300+hp GT would own a stock s2k on a straight away. If this car was an auto, I'd be embarrassed to even report the kill.

They're pigs. High 13/Low 14 second cars just like S2000's. It's a driver's race, maybe a slight advantage to the GT but nothing major. HP isn't everything.
