I went to the track again. It rained the last time so I got a free raincheck. Not many people there so I got in like 6 runs in 3 hours or almost 20 minutes per. It's 40 minutes there with 3 people in the car and I jumped right on the track. I guess the track conditions sucked. My friend with the EVO 8 has multiple 13.8s w/ 2.0 60fts and he ran a best 14.3, SRT-4 ran a 14.1, Supercharged M3 E36 ran low 13s, MKIV ran 14.0 @ 119 300ZXTT ran LOW 13s @ 117, another guy that I have an issue with ran his 2001 s2000 to a blistering 15.1. This is the kid that talked shit to me the entire summer. I have it on video. I'd like to upload for you guys to look at. I have NO idea what he is doing wrong. It looks like he is riding the clutch but he is *SO* slow off the line it isn't even funny.

Decent start and the car just felt really strong. I beat the EVO's 14.343 @ 91.70. I think something is wrong with his car. He had a 1.90 60FT on that run as well.

Lost to his 13.387 but I could have sworn he red lighted. He was GONE before I was green? His R/T was .545? Maybe I have "slow" eyes Hm. Rode the shit out of the clutch again.

Final Thoughts... I can't drive my car worth shit. First time at the track, I would launch but not be at WOT. I did it a bit better with the 1.9s but they werent LOW 1.9s. I really expected 1.8s or even a 1.7 with the mods that I have. I didn't get close to what I wanted. Also, I can't figure out my shift points. I tried early and late in both gears but I can't tell what's the optimal way of doing it. I still can't launch the car at all.

Also, car felt weaker and weaker as time went on. Maybe the engine did not cool enough during the 20-25 min breaks.

BUT... beat my personal best.. Any insight?

ALSO! My gf videotaped most of it so I will upload tonight. The EVO beating was nice

Nice runs. My VR4 was modded w/ a k&n, Greddy Type S BOV, Stillen downpipe, Borla cat-back, and a Greddy Elec. boost controller @ 14 pounds. My best run was a 13.0 @ 106. So it seems your on track. You might see a few 12 sec slips with your "SOON" mods. Cant wait for the vids.

my friend with a white Evo ran his first time with the car a 13.2 @ 102 with a 1.8 60 ft. i couldn't believe it from a bone stock car with 2000 miles on it. he also had a bone stock Zo6 and ran a 12.2 @ 117 but he totaled that giving a friend a ride in the car and lost it. he seems to be an excellent driver and seems to get the best times that i have ever seen.
