Since you probably didn't read the ghastly details, I'll quote one:
Nice quality control.

um, so by that time there will be ten generations of Corvettes that all perform better, look better, and sound better than the M3 for less money?

look ced imo m3's sucks in modding aspecs...
just like the s2000. put a few bolt ons and gain a estimated 0-2 hp for each bolt on.
Somebody spends 17k (10k the the engine 7 k for dressup) and gain 23 flywheel hp. that's almost 10-15 wheel hp. WTF what a waste of money
vettes are a better car in itself to modify.
but lets say money is not an issue and everything cost the same in modifications. both cars has the same.... the c5 would rape the m3.
if you look at m3forums e46fanatics. you don't see m3 owners claiming hp gain and so on. just the wheels the $2000 front lip. some 4000 csl trunk lid... just shows
go to corvetteforum z06vette digitalcorvette and see corvette owners talking about 500 and 400 and 600 and 1000 hp numbers and so on.400 is from bolt ons. 500 maybe a cam 600 furter with an s/c 1000 well that explains itself.
i don't see why you praise m3's so much as in everything you look at it's just overpriced.
if you say for looks? looks the same as a 323ci to me.
(exagerating here) when you drive a corvette, people who looks at you break their neck since it's going soo fast.
let me show you how the gauge cluster of a z06 looks like:

The M3 is a legend in my own mind and will still be running slowly after 4 more generations of vettes come out but I doubt you can say the same; i know you can't.
