mkIII supra pwnage
last friday night i was comming home from seeing saw 2 (good movie by the way). and there was a line of cars full of people from one of the local highschool's (prolly either a game or party or something). well i get in the left lane and ease on by everyone in 6th gear just cruising and all of a sudden someone whips out of the line with some bright HID's. it was a white mkIII turbo supra. it is loud as crap too. when we both finally get up to the front of everyone still cruising, he eases back in the right lane and gets beside me. his car is blocking all sound of my car out it is so loud. he then drops gears and takes off, i however just sat there still in 6th. he sees i did not go and slows back down to around 50, i dropped into 4th gear and eased up beside him
and then dropped into 3rd gear. i beeped the horn 3 times and on the 3rd we both punch it. i pulled a car on him in 3rd, and then another 3+ cars in 4th before we shut down. we both ease up to the next redlight and i give him a thumbs up and say nice car, and he gives me a smile and says the same back to me before turning off.

i would agree. At most it had intake and exhaust done on the supra.

Something tells me this particular supra was the NA version with a bunch of crap on it. The turbo Supras ran mid to high 13s if im not mistaken. If it was LOUD as hell and turbo it should have tortured your s2k as FI cars tend to be quieter than NA cars generally speaking.

i believe the turbo mkIII version of the supra ran a very low 15 second 1/4 mile stockn ot to bad from a car from 1989. But with the removal of its cats and a intake the car would be high 14s. A good friend of mine owns a turbo mkIII w/ a fair amount of after market, i believe last dyno he had 304whp. Each time i've raced him i've pulled on him in 1st 2nd and 3rd, but once he hits his 3rd/4th gear, that inline 6 pulls really hard.

i have a mkIII supra turbo stock i have done a high 14.8 with bolt ons on stock boost i did a 14.2 with my boost controller set to 10 psi i ran a 13.5. these cars are heavy as hell mine is close to 4000lbs they have alot of tq stock is 232hp and 254tq. it could have been a turbo with a straight pipe.

it was definately turbo and not n/a. not sure as too any mods that were done. but i DEFINATELY know it was turbo.
