Default Messed around with an RS6

I was taking a turn at this intersection when I saw some bright ass HID's coming up behind me and blinding me (top down). So I gunned it after the turn until I came up to the next light (red), which was about a few hundred yards away. The car was trying to pass me on the right and get in front of me but it didn't. It pulled behind me at that light. His HID's were really blinding now. I took a left turn at the light onto a road that is a 2 land divided street. I stayed in the left lane, the other car pulled into the right lane and I noticed the HID's again in my side mirror and he was going...so I gunned it again, did that up until I saw traffic about a few hundred feet in front of me then slowed down again. I let off the throttle and he blew by me a little over a second later, and just kept going. Blowing by traffic and weaving in and out. He caught the next red light and that is when I pulled up behind him and saw it was a red RS6. The rear fenders flares were ridiculous...they were really hanging out there. I saw that he was headed for the highway, so I figured I would mess around with him there and check out the car. He merged into traffic, but then just started hauling ass and weaving in and out of traffic at ridiculous speeds...causing atleast one vehicle to have to swerve. I didn't get a chance to mess around with him on the highway, which kinda sucked, but oh well. Handling wise on the highway there was practically no body roll when he cut across several lanes really hard. Smart no...impressive yes. I know the car is quicker, so maybe he was having mechanical issues when he kept trying to pass me? I've heard nothing but bad stories regarding audi's reliability. Well that's about it, don't flame me for my grammar because I've had a few beers now.

Well, I think if he knew what he was doing (not that it would really matter) but I think he would have really lit you up on the freeway especially with your top down.

Whats the RS6 450 hp? LOL, Not a bad family hauler IMO

ahh... wouldn't even suggest any kind of run with it. a stock RS6 will smoke an S2000. an RS6 with mods will chew you up and spit you out in pieces.
I've an A4 myself and my salesguy let me take both the '04 S4 and RS6 for giggles (it was a slow day, and the RS6 was owner's car for sale).
as if 340hp wasn't bad enough (S4), the 450hp will leave your jaw hanging. the RS6 stuck to the road like glue and there was loads of torque. really couldn't describe what it was like driving those cars... it's like reaching a whole new plane of existence no words to describe it...

but with that said, never had a problem with my A4. and the dealer fixed everything up good and fast. nice to have full warranty and maintenance covered

I still can't figure out why Audi only offered that for one year in the US.

Was it a lack of sales or the fact that it can be considered overpriced?

Good questions... to get one now... it is cheaper to buy the body kit and upgrade the turbos... (about $3500 total... not bad to have a 450hp mean lookin' SOB!!)

On my S4... I'm considering this heavily... there are a couple bad ass lookin' ones on the www.audizine.com site

Both but lack of sales mostly. Audi has been offering around $8k rebates on them all the while they are selling at invoice. We're selling one right now. Paid $85900 a year ago and are considering ourselves very lucky that we are able to get $61000 for it now.

Here's another question: why is the VW R32 discontinued when it's only been out for less than a year? Or is my information incorrect?

There's a guy in Bellevue, that has a black RS6... he's bone stock.

They trap 108 in the 1/4 mile stock, so they shouldn't be to difficult to keep up with from a roll ? but mid and high 12's are attainable, due to AWD, and 4.1 - 4.4 0-60's.
