Stock they are making 200HP with 300Ft pounds. The info below is from Fast Cars .net
"The increased performance of the 1987 model year is also more attractive to performance enthusiasts. The Grand National was tested at 13.85 sec @ 99 mph in the 1/4 mile, and a relatively quick sprint to sixty mph took just over six seconds. This made the Grand National capable of out-pacing most of the cars produced during that time and certainly competitive in today's era of cars."

I dont know what their times are exactly but I raced one and im assuming it was stock, but from 60mph and up I would end up pulling majorly, and once we hit about 110 or so it was over him

Those cars are/were extremely ugly. And like most cars of that era, it handled like a semi-truck. Sure they were fast, but any car can be made fast. I don't mean this to be offensive, but that car, to me, is the epitome of a white trash car.

the buick grand national was the original blown buick regal... the gnx was a factory enhanced version of the grand antional. they are not the same. the equivalent today would the the wrx and the sti.
my guess is that the S would take the grand national (in stock form) on any point to point staright line challenge, while the gnx would stick it to the S.
the gnx was one quick beast. while the grand national was only slightly quicker than the regal with a 305 and a 4 barrel carb.
