I was cruising down the hwy on the way to work on a 4 lane road. When i pulled up to a 2010 toyota sienna minivan driven by a senior citizen at least 60 years + at a traffic light. Knowing full well that in 3 blocks my lane merges into 1 with hers at the next stoplight. i pull next to her in attempts to obviously get ahead of her because you wants to be behind the stereotypical old slow person? Seriously who would expect a grandmother to have a lead foot? She however was not thrilled at the prospect. She didnt give any warning but as soon as the light turned green she floored it. Maybe her pedal got stuck? Its a toyota after all. I launched normally like i would have since well people in minivans usually dont get competitive. We were neck and neck for just a few secs until the vtec kicked in yo! I pulled at least a good solid 2-3 cars on her before i ran out of road and had to merge. She was a sore loser however and went as far as using the emergency lane to get in front of me after we had reached the second stoplight. Now i am not a stoplight warrior or do i race on the hwy and there is no sense in accomplishment to me to actually win a race against a minivan, but i thought i would share a life lesson i learned today........... YOU DONT F#*% WITH GRANDMA!

Sounds like my Mom, quite a led foot and scary being in the passenger seat at times. But she drives a Hemi Challenger.

I just had one of those mini vans for a rental while my Ridgeline was being repaired and for a mini van, I was impressed with the pick up it had. Closest I will ever come to owning one though.

 

This is a disgrace to the special Olympics...
