You were lied to...an intake alone will make little to no difference on dyno numbers on a 335 and you're talking about 60+RWHP over stock...common sense alone should tell you that's not the case. 'Just a tune' can easily put down more then that...he had a tune.
Here is dyno info with just the aFe intake- which may arguably not even be the best for the 135 and 335.

I'm not sure you could avoid being one...but since many here already know about my 335 and what mods have yielded along the way I'll just focus on your obviously poor math skills.

I have tested 3 different intakes that all touted certain gains...none of them actually delivered. I can post lots of other ads that advertise certain gains but I know from past experience that those numbers are not much more than media hype. My first mod was Procede V1.47 which yielded about 60RWHP over stock...I'm smart enough to know that adding an air filter won't yield anywhere near the same results as cranking up the boost.

every "tech" I speak too... and I'm referring to BMW tech's... not sales reps... say that if you change the intake and/or exhaust- anything that impacts airflow, temp, o2, ect... it takes a bit for the ECU to make the adjustments to compensate for the increased flow.
No one ever claims to notice a difference right off the bat.

I'm well aware of the fact that it takes some driving time for the ECU to adjust...my dyno went up about 20RWHP from install on the V1.47 with some driving time. Most intakes will make some decent power under ideal conditions, unfortunately most of our driving isn't done in 'ideal conditions'. I can take an FMIC..spray it down with nitrous and blow a big fan on it and probably pick 30RWHP on a dyno but the real life gains under normal driving conditions are much less.
