Not without some work done to make the turbo into a track car. Understeer is your enemy and at course like the old SIR and PIR it becomes an issue quick with the 993 and 996 turbos.

I'll do basic suspension mods like coilovers and sways... for starters. Probably need a rollcage ?

I came across a race prepped 993 Turbo S a couple years back...

My buddy Lee has a X5 4.6 L / with some mods, and I told him how bad my 04 M3 would smash on his X5. So he invited me to auto x, now I'm looking into 993 Turbo S for a lil project this coming summer... I'll be rallying w / the Ferrari guys. I know the 993 Turbo S hits 0-60 in 3.8 and 1/4 mile in 12.1-12.2 at 116-118... Porsche is the best handling cars I've driven, I'm gonna smash on the Ferrari's.
nice!!! I want to get a full time trackcar in the future... I'm not sure how serious I want to get with the track days. I have one coming up next month with the Porsche BMW Owners club, which there will be races also...

I'm just having fun doing performance driving and learning something new each time I leave the track...

Ced, I understand elevation change, accelerating out of a corner first and late or early braking.
I got a bad feeling you thought you were racing the GT3 and he/she was driving at about 7/10ths (possibly with a beer between their legs).
It is clear throughout the vid that the GT3 walked from you on any straight stretch (including plenty that were flat and where you both went onto the gas at the same moment) and that the GT3 was cruising through the turns.
I hate to burst your obvious bubble... You didn't actually think your car could hang with a GT3 on any track or any road course did you!
Porsche could use this as a commercial advertising the GT3....

I would hope not... The GT3 will smoke everything you own..that's if you even have a car...

The GT3 is supposed to be the bad boy for the track...It has the GT2 suspension, light weight... It suppose to be a better track car than the 996 Turbo...
