M Coupe. Ever race one?
#12
VTEC Racer, Cravnpup is speaking from experience, he witnessed two races between my M and an S2000 -- and then he beat us both with his modified Mustang GT convertible (on winter tires).
I am trying to take a more positive approach towards the car. No issues in the last four months, plenty of miles (it's a great highway cruiser) and my wife likes it -- and thank god she drives it instead of her Rover -- 13MPG vs 25.
As for previous Honda's I never disliked any of them, but my wifes second hand 89 Accord was bothersome in that I was always replacing some worn out item. Who knows what abuse the previous owner inflicted.
I will say that my opinion of my S2000 is not shared by a friend with whom I traded cars for a week or so recently (he has an ITR) -- he loved it. Another friend with an M roadster also has praise for the car.
I don't think anyone deserves a lemon, and I undetstand the frustration he's had with his s2k and previous Hondas. But if he doesn't like the car seriously just sell the damn car to someone who can appreciate a little more.

I beat a M coupe pretty bad in my RX-7 from a roll and from a stop. I am not sure if it was a 315 hp or the 240 hp model. I don't think it would have made much difference.
I beat a M convertible in the S2000 a few weeks back. It had 30 day tags on it, but I guess it could have been a used 240 hp one
I do love the looks of the coupe but my wife on the other hand thinks it looks like a chevette

Okay, let me bite this one and ask...
What did you do to your RX-7? 1/4 mile run time? Dyno numbers?
From 315 hp model to 240 hp model, there is approximately about one sec difference in 1/4 mile run.
If it doesn't make much difference as you put it, I guess you have to be well into sub 12s?

You are not biting anything over here partner. I am not into the S & M stuff and if I were it would be with my wife and her ALONE!!
If you would like to see my HORRIBLE times go here bad times
I have a single turbo in my RX-7 and I am making a little more than 315 to the rear wheels. So I doubt if it being the 240 or 315 model would have made any difference. I have no dyno numbers when Dave at KDR dynoed my car the stupid printer was acting CRAZY. Though, I have to admit even if I did have a dyno sheet I would not post nor do I tell anyone my rwhp. I think things like that are secret..
As for sub-12s yeah I probably could with slicks and with a better driver B/c as you can see from the link above..I have a LOT of practicing to DO!!!

If your RX7 can run sub 12s, I am sure it doesn't make much difference against 315hp and 240hp cause you will probably will anyway.
There are a few "decently" fast M Roadsters/Coupes in Northern VA. When you come up here for a car show or something, you should look us up.

I was up there for the import expression tour in Reston, VA. There was a blue M vert that was parked with the S2000s..what that anyone you know? I was in a Spa Yellow S2000. Next time I plan to come up I'll PM you. Do the same if or when you come down here to the Hampton roads area.

I know a few people with M Roadster/Coupe here but I haven't met anyone with blue M Roadster (or was it M3 vert).
If I am going down to VA Beach area, I will be sure to let you know so we can hook up.
It will be fun to run against single turbo RX7. I promise I won't lose too badly.
