lacr drag strip
It was my first time ever going to a drag strip..and man that was so much fun. My best time was 14.85 on the 1/4...2.3 on the 60 ft..and .2 for the reaction time. The elevation was really high because it was in the mountains or something. Everyone was saying that the real quarter mile time is .6 less. So I ran around a 14.2...i need to work on the launching and bogging...neway fun day indeed

Elevation is 2640 for LACR. It would depend on the atmospheric pressure, and temperature to get a more accurate correction , but this time of year .6 would seem like wishfull thinking.
Regardless, nice run. Get the 60' down around 2 and you will see those times drop.

LACR suxs for our cars, but you should be able to hit better times there. I ran there a while back with loose axles( yes loose axles -literally loose!) they were so bad i would chirp the tires through all gears, and clutch problems(my fault for not changing the PP during install). traction suxs but it takes getting used to and u'll have it down. My best run was a 14.5 , my best 60 ft there has been a 2.1. and my best trap was 97, best reaction time so far is .012. I usually average below .100
Now the axles have been fixed, and the clutch has been replaced, the car feels amazing. (i cannot chirp through the gears now, and the power is getting to the ground much better, you can feel the dif). I will be going back and have no doubt I should be able to drop my time by .2
Believe me guys just the elevation is not all that should be considered about that track. Basically unless you have torque to carry you through then you will run bad times. the weather suxs, even though it gets extremely cold at nights. I think the error in times is around the .6-.7 as he mentioned although if you calculate it by elevation it'll say .5

you do realize that reaction time has nothing to do with your e.t?

2 years ago I ran 14.3 stock at LACR.
Then I went back Vortech+Spugen single exhaust and it was 13.1.
So 13.8 stock and 12.5 modified. Tough track though, I agree.
You need to get a decent wheel spin, that way it doesn't bog, and always keep it 7500+ rpm. I was doing my launches at 8000-8500 clutch drops stock and 7000-7500 s/c'ed.
