i see this black 370z all stupid cutting everyone..so i decided to follow him to see if he wants to run..i flashed my lights to let him know to wait for me, which he did..

but when i was going to line up with him (he was still 3 1/2 cars ahead) he decided to go WOT and i wasn't ready yet..so i down shifted to 2nd going 48mph..stop his pull right away and started inching slowly..was really suprise how that thing moves..by end of 5th i was 1/2 car ahead..

2nd run...thought he was going to line up with me, but this guy just went for it giving him a big momentum about 2 1/2 cars ahead and going.....tried to catch up but i didn't get to pass him..i shut down end of 4th with 1/2 behind..

that thing can hang pretty good...wish it was an even race with 3 beeps so i'll know how far i can actually pull on him...with this encounter it me wonder about this kit..lol.. ..

btw i was top down with my gf in the passenger..maybe that slowed me down big time..

sorry but i don't really know how much power is typical for your set up, but all i can say is it's very hard to reel a car in and pass it with quickness after he gets a start on you...to stop his momentum and pull on him hard you'd need to be considerably quicker.

line up evenly with him and the outcome would have been largely in your favor. you won't zoom past him after he gets a 2 car start on you unless you're making much more power than him...

which brings me back to my original question, how much power is typical for your set up?

i'm in the 360-370 whp range with 230-240 tq...
i know i can pull on him if its even start, but i just hate to think that he's thinking and telling all his Z group how he beat me..lol..of course he won't say how i was catching up on him..he'll just make it seem that he beat me and exagerate..lol...

but besides that. you have a kw kit. 360-370hp dynopack

the new 370z is rated at 322hp on its lowest model and 350hp on its Nismo model.
...granted they are rated at the crank but should be over 300/325hp dynopack.


Also we have a good 600-700lb weight advantage.

on a stock vs stock basis... they would pull on us but since you have boost you should be able to pull 2-3 cars on a stock one.

idk what a 370z would make if it had all bolt-on's and a tune but it would be quite a difference.

s2k is definitely cooler/hotter than the Z..lol..

love this kit..so smooth and fast, but VTec sound is unnoticeable..

you should have gotten an AP1 then LOL

Vtec is Very noticeable and the kick alone throws you in the seat
