I got lost in downtown Dallas the other day, and I was lookin at the map at a red light. This guy in a green Camaro Z28 pulls up next to me lookin at me and starts revving. So I looked and..I guess he got my attention!!
I asked him " what year?" he replied "96" I said to myself 'I can take LT-1!!!!'
So I give him a little VTEC roar and when the light changed to green I floored at about 6500 RPM and so did the camaro.
We were both spinning tires in the 1st gear and each time the Camaro shifted into
next gear he got a little jump but having 9000rpm on my S2k really helps I think!
I had him by about a car length when I went from 2nd-3rd before I shut if off
cuz of the traffic in downtown.
We both stopped at the next red light and I asked him "Do you wanna do it again??" he said "yeah"
I asked him if he got any mods and he said his car was bone stock.
However his exaust was very loud and the exaust tips were kinda rectangular shaped (Borla???or are they stock??)
Anyway when the light changed to green we both floored again and the result was
the same. He was on the right side of my side view mirror when I shut if off.
Oh btw the Camaro had a passenger and I didn't

The stock exhaust on the Camaro's come with the square looking tips, they are also a black looking color as well...During acceleration they can seem loud at times, but sound like crap on deceleration with all of the popping and crackeling coming from the air pump...Just my opinion...
Good kill though, considering the Z's came from the factory with 275 hp that year (I believe)
Was the Camaro stick or auto?

I'd have to agree. I mean, it's amazing that 5.0liter and 5.7liter engines are just a bit faster than a 2.0liter engine that is naturally aspirated. That's sick. And that's why I own one.

Um ... just for clarification. The 5.7 liter LS1 engine in that video walked all over a supercharged 2.0 liter engine that puts 305 to teh wheels.
Are we all on the same page??? The "stock" Stook would lose by about 15 car lengths or more. I like the Stooks but don't kid yourselves that they are even in the same ball park as the 5.7 liter LS1 motor. 2 completely different engines with 2 completely different intended applications. You guys should focus on picking on them in the twisties and not the straight lines.
