Kill on a C5 last night.........
So here's the story. My wife and I are on the way home last night. We are right in the middle of the only busy street in town, and I pull up to the light next to a sweet '02 Burgundy C5. (Nice color) My wife looks over and says this guy is checking out your car, and she sees that I am checking out his car. Read: she could care less about performance cars. She views them as "cute" or not cute. So anyway the guy revs at me and I kind laugh, there was no where to go since we were both behind 3 or 4 cars. Light turns green and I accelarate with traffic and he stays beside me. We drop about 10 car lengths or so behind traffic and he starts getting on and off the gas. I just sit there in second waiting til we get up in VTEC range. He drops bacl next to me again and I hammer it, well at least from 6,000 - 9,000 RPM in second gear. Then we had to stop as the wife and I were getting a movie at Blockbuster. It was pretty cool though hearing the roar of that motor behind me instead of blowing by me. The guy turned out to be pretty cool. He pulled into Blockbuster and we chatted for a while. It turns out he is a car freak like me and he had been wanting to find an S to see what it could do. See there are cool vette guys out there.
Glenn before you go off, I know if we had actually been able to race I would have been toast, but it did feel good for a second.
