I was on the freeway when I passed a new black m3 which was stuck in traffic in the fast lane. Anyways I ended up gettin to where the freeway splits and I see in my side mirror the M3 coming pretty fast and passed me up so I sped up a bit and caught up to him. We were going about 65 when i saw him start to floor it so at this point he was maybe 1/2 car infront of me when i dropped it into 3rd gear and was head to head all of 3rd gear. When i shifted to 4th I actually pulled on him maybe like 1 foot. Our windows were down and I swear we were looking at each other the full time I was in 3rd then 4th I saw him slip back but we hit traffic at around 100mph and I had to slow down. I was pretty amazed with the performance of my s2k. I have mugen headers, exhaust, and air intake only.

Sorry, an E46 M3 would just plain decimate an S2000 with just a header/exhaust/intake. Are you sure the guy wasn't just playing with you?

yah not to sure what gear it was in but I was still surprised! I don't have any FI just basic bolt-ons. Just cool to know the s2k can compete w/ such a nice car on even if the m3 was in 4th i'm a newbie on this board and never knew about this board until a few days ago and it seems like a cool place to learn tons of info about my car so hope to chat with all of you soon or maybe attend a meet if there is one around san fernando valley in Los Angles.
