Default Just beat a Ford GT

Ohhhman im still shackin it was so awesome. I was sitting at a light to make a left turn and he pulls up in the turning lane next to me. I look over to admire the car and to give the guy a thumbs up, but he doesnt look over.....errrr So, im like ohhhyah! I'll show you...lol We make the turn and i goose it a little, but he doesnt bite. Im in the left lane as we come up to a light thats changing red. I have to move over to the right lane to let this car get over to the left turning lane. The GT moves over to the left lane as we stop at the red light. He stops a little behind me, so we dont have any eye contact at all. The light turns red and as if we both new it was coming, we bunch it. Out the whole i get about a qtr car lead on him even as my tires start to break loose. I let up on the gas some, and he comes about even with me. Once my tires grab im pulling ahead. Going into 2nd, and all the thru 2nd gear i have almost a half car lead on him. I shift into 3rd and i still have a qtr/half car lead on him, but by then we caught up to traffic and we have to slow down. I wait up for him and all he can do is smile and shake his head as he drives by......lol It was great!! $100,000+ car beaten by a $32,000 car....Gotta luv it!!

I hope your car is alot faster than the trap speed you have indicated because if you trap at 115mph the GT should pretty much rape you. Go to stage6motorsports.com and see how sick the GT can be. The guy who builds that set-up also was one who developed the Speedcraft turbo for the S2000. He ran an 11.70 @ 144mph and that's only because he let up...11.49 gets ya booted. He made that run with a 2.4 60' time. I doubt they're are many stock GT's running around since they are modded so easily and respond extremely well.

I'm not doubting you...driver skill does win most street races but most GT's you'll find aren't stock. Sounds like you have a fast S...mine was around 400RWHP and I beat up most Z06's especially from a stoplight. Rest assured though that a stock GT has absolutely no problem clicking off 11 sec. runs all day long. Nice win...

I feel betta now, thxs!!

I cant say if it was stock or not. I had my top down and slowed up hoping to talk to him. But it seemed like he was a little embarrassed....lol If im not mistaken, stock they are 550 hp @ 3350lbs. Im pushing almost 500rwhp @ 2800lbs. I think my car can hold its own even if he wasnt stock.

Nuts

did I miss the bit were u built the bottom end in you sig, or dont u need to for 20 psi

Edit, I suppose evos can go easily over 25 psi on the stock bottom, but not many of them rev to 9K or more
