Was at a stop light today on San Jose with my girlfriend when this redneck pulled up next to me in some old minivan. He revved at me and told me I had a nice car and I waved and said thank you. Next thing I know the light turns green and he floors it, pulls a few cars on me, and flashes his hazards . I just started busting out laughing. Funniest thing I have seen in a while. I wish I could have caught it on tape. Anyone else have something like this happen to them? Where a car races you without you even knowing and actually shows off because you didnt even race and they beat you? I know this guy was just kidding around but I want to know if anyone has done something like this to you being 100% serious...

I had a Ford F350 King Ranch Edition Dually keep up with me once. He had the Banks 6 shooter and some other work. Some of you Diesel folks may know about that and he claimed was putting out about 600 hp.

That is pretty damn funny , nothing like racing a rusted old minivan. Over the summer I had a kid in a new Tiburon revv his engine at me at a red light and tell me that he had a V6 under the hood and asked me if I had a 4 cyl, but he was dead serious in thinking his car was a rocket. Not quite the same as your rusty minivan, but I can relate to how hilarious some people are when they pull up to you.
*edit*
Come to think of it, about 2 or 3 weeks ago I had what looked like a totally stock new 4x4 dodge ram pickup tailgaiting me on my way home. It was starting to get pretty dark out and he had no headlights on while he was riding very close to my bumper so I downshifted and floored the car to pull away, but as I floored 3rd gear he was still up my ass and I could not pull away from him. My face was like , and he got next to me and told me nice car with a 's up. I was pretty damn shocked, talk about a sleeper. I don't know what work he had done, but when he hit the gas the exhaust sounded more like a corvette then a pickup truck.

When I lived in Riverside one of the local kids had a primered VW Microbus with a small block mounted amidship, a turbohydro 400, a 12-bolt diff, and massive slicks. It wasn't slow.
