Default I beat Insomniak (not in my car)...

I haven't had my car in about 4 weeks, so I haven't had any racing stories. So Kirk, forgive me for posting this at your expense.

Moyopoyo let me drive his S around tonight, since I haven't driven my car in weeks. We were rollin' around town with Insomniak. Insomniak wanted to race against Mo's car, so we ran a couple of times. It was me and Mo in his car with AEM Intake, Apex'i Exhaust, and the Proflow TB. Kirk in his car, and he only has the Hondata gasket (as far as I know).

We ran 2-3 times, each time from around 55-100. Each time I was able to put a few (1-3) lengths on him. From our view, it seemed like I was beating Kirk mostly on the shifts...because I'd jump a few feet with each shift. It seemed like we were pretty even through 2nd gear, then as I redlined and shifted I'd jump a few feet...which set me up for some gain in 3rd gear, and then get another decent jump as I shifted to 4th. As far as I know Kirk may have backed off after the 1st car-length each time, he'll have to tell it from his POV; maybe objects in my mirror were close than they appeared.

I rode with Kirk after the races to see if he was granny shifting. He seemed to be shifting OK, but there was some room for improvement. So it was hard to tell if it was driver or the breather mods (remember that we had 2 persons in our car). One way or the other, I love the sound of that AEM intake. Mo's car was noticably not as quick as mine (duh) but the AEM intake made it fun to VTEC around town.

Hey Insomniak, I think Wes got lil too hyped up about dring a S2k again.
