Also this is a "1992" with "237" HP.
Against a manual tranny RX7, the S2000 will lose with equal drivers. its that simple.
You seem like an insecure hater. Too sad.

Rich, you do have your right to an opinion. I think the RX7 is a better looking car than the S2000, and a faster car, to boot, but that is just my opinion I think a couple of things by TVR put them both to shame, but alas, TVR doesn't sell here in the colonies, so what can we do?

Well after reading this thread, I must comment...
My previous car was a '93 Rx-7 TT and now I'm driving a '00 S2000.
To sum it all up:
Looks - Anyone's opinion, I personally think they both have very different and unique looks, love them both
Acceleration - The Rx-7 is noticably quicker (esp when the 2nd turbo turns on above 4.5k RPM).
Handling - Both have 50/50 weight distribution, so too similar to really compare.
Reliability - The S2000 is much more reliable, the 3rd Gen 7 was known for it's problems. Infact most everyone is ready for an engine rebuild by 60-80k miles.
In conclusion I like the s2000 a bit better, sure it may not be as quick, or (in some people's opinions) not as stylish, but it is a damn good performer with an outstanding reliability record...and that's what matters to me most right now. The fact that whenever I'm ready to ride, my 'ol faithful S2k is revved and ready!

I have to point out too that my RX7 has been very reliable. I have 152,000 miles. My turbos are original, I replaced the clutch at 143K and that was because I modded the car. The engine was replaced at 110.
My car has never broke down on me. I have had alot of cooling problems, but with 150K miles the problems I had you would expect. My upper radiator hose cracked and needed replaced, I leaned on my AST and caused it to crack, my radiator fan went bad (I upgraded my radiator with a large one that smashed against my fan). My overflow tank cracked and needed replaced.
Other than the above serious things, I have had my drivers side door handle break. I also broke my differential at the track, but obviously is my fault. I have loged 22000 miles since March and its been very reliable. I have never, ever had a problem where it decided not to start or stopped running on me. I think alot of it is just mass hysteria and mis truths. I will say the engines on the Rx7 dont last that long cause the turbos shorten the life. Put twin turbos on the S2000 and see if you get 110,000 like I got from my engine.
N/A will always be more reliable than turbo...I can say that every problem the 3rd gen is famous for is related to the turbos and heat caused by the turbos.
