FWIW, Bullet1123 is a damn good driver and with ME in the car (235-lbs) he
can chirp a 2-3 shift. I told him the gears work great against a stock
car when they both take off at the same time but he's got a habit of
letting others get the jump (he likes reeling 'em in) and with average
drivers and stock cars, he can get away with that. Against a very good
driver, the advantages of the 4.57's are minimalized if you're giving a damn
good driver (despite being in a stocker) a one-car lead in lst gear. The gears
work their magic when both cars leave at the same time.

Then again, it could simply be the guy was tooling him and had a host
of go-fast goodies. Not every street racing encounter wraps up in
an environment of revelations. Hustling and honesty are two words rarely
used in the same sentence. If someone street races for money, they're not
going to show you their laundry list of mods. That would be about as smart
for business as a pool hustler screwing in an $1800 Meucci.

Good death! On the honesty. I would think that most S2K owners aren't like that. I guarantee that thing wasn't stock, he pulled you like a corvette or a SS camaro would pull.
