[QUOTE=S2oooNvegas,Nov 24 2005, 08:56 PM] i get dumber every time i come to my own post.
one of the number one things to do to ANY engine, is to run the head cooler. almost any company that makes ecu programs will tell you to run a cooler stat, and it helps not only with HP gains, but the car can run more agressive timing without knock. and what does the s2k do when it sees knock... bye bye timing. hmm,

Your 4.44 gear claim makes no additoinal power. The engine is a little bigger to make more power and torque in the midrange, sillyhead. The peak power at the crank is still similar, and the peak is not that much higher than the AP1. We all know this, and don't need to talk about that though. Yes, your curve is a bit higher, but that's nothing a 70mm +test pipe can't fix for the AP1 driver.
If you dyno the car and actually make over 215 wheel horsepower (some AP2s actually can make 205-210 stock) I will bow down to you but I doubt it's going to happen.

you forgot the hondata gasket, port match, coolant mods and the fact that the car made 260 flywheel stock.

[QUOTE=gt30r,Nov 24 2005, 10:46 PM] Why do you keep quoting crank h.p. it does'nt mean shit and even if you dyno at 260 hp after 17% drivetrain loss your only at 216 hp and the most i've heard of a stock s2k making is between 199. and 203. i.m gonna say

why wouldnt you quote crank smart guy. chevy is so proud, they put crank HP on the side of the car. ever see a c6 z06. 505 badge right on the side. no z06 owner goes, yeah i have the 467 wheel HP version. they say 505 hp. i just guessed long ago, at 275 hp. with my calcs from my mph, my roll ons, some GTec help (yes it calcs hp and you dont wanna know what it said i had). it was a GUESS. you just did the math. 217 wheel, 260 flywheel? so that means i could crank easy 275 flywheel. its not that big of a deal. im quite sure im over 220 wheel now, do i need a dyno sure, but i can speculate on the positive side in the meantime. ever speak to anyone who is affluent. they didnt get rich by thinking negative. its called *fake it till ya make it* i like to hope i have 240 wheel. but ya never know.

Hey I like your other quote about your belief in ETs. Its not a matter of believing, its a matter of time until the information is released to the public which will be in our lifetime, that will prove without a doubt that we are not alone in this vast universe and anyone thinking we are, are very close minded..
thanks. ET's are here, no doubt about it.
i think you should try again. hook up obd data, drive your car to and from work for 3 days. datalog and screen shot AIT's at the same places, and take note of ambient temp. for the given day. now, get a hondata gasket, put it on, but make sure you test fit it, line it all up, and port match it if you must, also smooth the intake runners a bit with a porting bit.
now, drive the car for a day, let it heat cycle. and retorque the gasket. hook up obd data again. now do the same drive you did before, 3 days, and log and SS everything. print em all out and compare em. its wild. the manifold surface temp is way down, 70 plus degrees. the iat's went down 10 to 30 degrees. which is a huge difference. and the car runs way better with the A/C on. thats where its most noticeable. iat was way high idling, especially with the AC on. 130-140. yes vegas is hot.
so anyone who tells me the gasket makes no diff, is just laughing stock for me. i know far better. so many have said 12 wheel gain with that, and 4 wheel gain with cat delete. that alone is nice power. later

we'er not taking about chevys here i asked you "why you always qoute crank hp" and the Gtec is a toy the kids in their civics and neon like to play with its not accurate. you brag so much about your street races doesn't mean shit have you even raced your car at a santioned 1/4 track?
when i went to the Gtec meet, here and saw guys running within a tenth of the timeslip they had with em, i said OK, ill trust it.
but hey, to each his own.
