An egg (or carton) for an egg is certainly fair. Paintballs work too.
When I was a lot younger my friends and I had a scorched earth retribution policy so we, um, went much further into vandalism as a reply (some windshields are really hard to break!). The most modest thing we'd do would be to pour a few bottles of regular Coke onto the driver's seat. You ever try cleaning up dried Coke?

I will drive by the COP and ask him an opinion before choose what to do.
If they did that again and again, I don't think you just bad luck, maybe they're S2000 hater or hate you personally, let's say you try to fight back to egg them, I think you better find some place to hide your car because your S2K is innocence!

I think you have 364 days to come up with something.

Take some baloney from the grocery store and casually walk up to their car in the morning some time. Take the slices and spread them around the hood, roof and trunk of the car. If the meat is still there while the sun is out for a few hours, the oils/grease in the meat will permantly destroy the clear coat, giving the car a "polka-dot" paint job that won't come out unless he repaints the whole car.
