Going to track tonight
Just thought I'd let everyone know I am going to great lakes dragaway for open race night. With any luck, I will represent us S2k owners with some quick times. I don't expect any record braking ET since it is warmer and a bit more humid than I'd like, but hey, I'll give it a shot.
I of course will video tape the events and post anything worth watching.
Wish me luck!

Good luck!
I really hope you come back with a video of you running 13's in the 1/4. That would resolve any suspicions that may be left about your 13.7* time (since we haven't seen the slip yet).
Kick some ass!

best of luck to you too! go for the gold and put some cheese in the tank for extra horses! i'm actually going to the track tonight too...in about an hour (i HAVE to leave early today, such a nasty work week...ughh). anyways, i'm sort of hesitant to launch my car (first time there with it) b/c of the weak diff. and whatever else there is. oh well, i guess i'll see how it goes. my boy is running his car there and i haven't decided if it is worth me testing out how strong the parts to my baby are. any hints, suggestions other than a 6k+ dump? better to slip the clutch? thanks!

I'd worry more about the clutch than the diff. for the most part, the people breaking their axle or diff are those with. at least from what I've read here on the forums.
don't slip the clutch. if it slips too much, it wont grip at all and then you sit there looking like an idiot. lol.
i figure if on the offchance my diff or axle breaks, hey it's under warranty as far as I know.

Good luck Wis. Even though the odds are against you(It's hot and humid)
hopefully you will do a good job of representing the S2000 crowd. None of those 14.9xx or 15.xx crap right?
Also, If I were you I would come back with a timeslip and post it here to silence the critics

I'll do better than timeslip.
Video (as long as the troll working the camera can figure out which button is RECORD and which way to point!)
I meant to say, for the most part, people breaking axle or diff are those with forced induction. the stock axle/diff seems to take the launches ok. (knock on wood)

anyone know if honda warranty is voided or won't cover engine breaking on a legally sanctioned track event?
if my diff snaps on the start line, am i covered under warranty or am i s.o.l.?
