So it all starts off late at mid-night making a run to Wally World aka Wal-mart looking for a surround sound for my television and dvd. They all ran out so damn, I had to head home empty handed. I was about 5 lights away from my apartments when I notice blueish lights speeding up from a distance. Come to it it's a guy I'd say about in his 30's-40's with a G35 coupe. I'm in the middle lane he's behind one car on the right of me. I let the driver on the right take off so I can see who this guy was. Anyways, he tells me to move one lane over to the left, so I did. He gets in the middle. I give him a heads up if he was game. We were both cruising at 30mph, I was in second gear around 4000rpm...lined up, honked 3 times and we were off. He jumped 1 1/2 car lengths away from me on second gear(I was like **ck!) as soon as I hit 3rd I started to catch up real quick. Passing him up 2 1/2 car lenghts around 70 mph and proceded to go passed 90 mph. Then decided to slow down cause there was a truck in front of a stop light. The guy pulls next to me, gives me a congratulations heads up and tells me "That shit's pretty quick." I told him "Yeah it's alright." Then we went our own ways. Yeah missed my apartment by blocks and had to turn around. Only mod I have is a Stage 3 clutch. Coming soon in about a month and a half is my Kakimoto Single N1 muffler and Garage Defend Stingray Front Canards. Rare indeed

at 30mph it wouldve been perfect for first gear...not 2nd. starting out of VTec REALLY hurts the S2000. its like this...30 is good for first...45 is good for 2nd...67 is good for 3rd...and who the hell starts a race in 4th?!?! never worried about a 4th gear start

if you had been in first, and gotten a better start, he wouldntve pulled on you at the beginning. good kill in the end

you are definitely mistaken...its just a downshift. itd obviously be better for the tranny to either rev-match or let the clutch out very slowly, but you can always downshift. downshifting to 1st in his case, at his mph, wouldve been perfect for this scenario

appreciate the thumbs up guys haha. yeah i didn't even know you'd be able to put it in 1st at that speed. i don't wanna look like a idiot racing somebody while attempting this, jerkin' back and fourth. i'd quickly turn, hide somewhere and start crying.
