no offense bro but,
1. you initially stated you 'learned' to drive stick when you got your s2k
2. you're drag racing a car that was meant to do many things... but going fast in a straight line isn't one of them.
3. you can't handle 'losing to a hatch'? newsflash, there will always be somebody faster, and yes even some of them will be in honda hatches
4. you want to boost your car to 400whp and run 11's? did you read the thread about the sc s2k still in the 13's?
see points 1&2
do you know how reliable a 400hp 4cylinder is? especially one that was designed as a high rpm n/a car, and now you want to make it f/i?
better get used to spending more time tuning and building up your car than driving it.
if you just want to beat kids in your town that's one thing, but if you want to have a fast str8 line car, trade in the s now and go buy something meant to do that.

A built B16 hatch in a EG6 chassis is much more formidable than you may think. Surprisingly, I meet a lot of people who do swaps and don't do a good job (one look under the hood tells a lot about the amount of detail they put into it). Civics are way lighter and with Type-R gear, they can wipe out an S2000.
Not to come across the wrong way frans2k, if you're NA... you'll get beat by every (performance) VTEC motor equipped with a turbo. Civic, Integra, Prelude... B16, B17, B18, H22A/H23A... any one of these with even a half-descent mild turbo setup is more than enough to take out even my S2000 equipped with every Mugen power mod. You'd have an easier time taking out a D-series motor w/ turbo on a Del Sol.

The guy handed me over 120 bucks for the race. What a loser LoL thinking a b16 can take on a s2k .

FYi, its not a B16. Its a B18A, i think. It has a vtec head from a vtec b series motor. just clearing that up if it already hasnt been (im too lazy to read the entire thread).
civic hatches are incredibly fast! My friend had a b18c1 swapped into his eg and eh could hang with s2ks. once he got his turbo it wasn't pretty. i respect alot of the hatches bc they have some serious potential.

Just to put my $.02 in, a stock LS/VTEC in any Civic is not likely to beat a S2000 in a drag race. A stock LS put out about 120whp. Adding the VTEC head gains you around maybe 30whp. Add them all together and you get at most 150whp. Anything more than that and you are getting close to B18C territory. 150whp in a 2100lb chassis is fast, but not S2000 fast.

I'm sure LSVTEC's can stand their ground vs. other b-series motors but the only thing helping an LSVTEC win vs. an s2k is weight reduction. My friend had an LSVTEC in a 95 integra and he pulled me (in my 97 GSR) by a little bit.

Remember when you get your ass handed to you by an early 90's H.B. and you feel dumb, your driving a s2K. You may have lost to a Civic, but mo matter what they have done to it IT'S STILL A CIVIC. A little econo box for grandmas. I doesn't matter how fast it is.
