Few races with neighbor's Z
My new neighbor just moved in the apartment complex for like 1 month. He told me his 2004 Z with HKS exhaust, pop charger intake, Volk Te37 rims. We talked and talked but never had a chance to run him until last night. My is AP1 stock.
So we did 3 runs:
1) From roll at 30 mph, I was in second gear at V-tec range, I honked 3 times. He immediate walked on me. By the end of 3rd gear, he had like at least 2 car lengths on me. I shut down
2) From roll at 60 mph, I was in 3rd gear and this time, I never had a chance. He jumped on me and kept gaining. By 110 mph, around 3 car lengths
3) From dig, I launched at 6k. By 1st gear going to 2nd, his front bumper was at my mirror but it was going down hill for me. He kept gaining after that. When I shut down at around 90 mph, he had around 2 car on me.
I am very disappointed. I shift into vtec range everytime but still didn't have a chance in 3 runs. His Z has nasty torque. I guess it's time for turbo.

time to learn how to drive.
*think ill put up this is scarcasm before getting flammed. the 350 is very good with mods. stock for stock you should win but i dont think he should have walked you as bad at you say he did.

I beat G35 coupe b4. I thought G35 and 350z have same engine with = peformance but this Z is just a different animal.

30 MPH in 2nd gear in an AP1!!!! That's why he left you like you were standing still!!
VTEC turns on at 30mph in 1st gear!! 30 in 2nd...you had to wait like 15 mph just for VTEC to turn on (44-45mph)....hmmm "But you know how to shift to generate the most power"....RIGHTTTT
