I also don't refer to any stereotypes or attempt to perpetuate the idea that all "insert car owners" are "insert phrase here".

Peterpan, please don't take this as an insult. You might take this as a compliment, but our Kill Stories forum is probable one of the most active and nastiest on the net. Not a lot of rational thought goes into most of those posts and they will poke fun of you until you prove you can take it. Most don't survive, but you'll find some respected import guys on there. They usually join in... Takes thick skin.

 

a few vette guys were supporting (and proud of) the stereotype in the post......that's all.

I read a buch of those posts and PeterPan was talking like an ass clown. Saying he would respect someone's ride if they bought a Z06 because it wasn't some old car. give me a break. You should respect people because they are people not because of the car they own. Who cares if you bought a 33k honda. I know guys who sometimes carry that much cash on them!! Who cares how much your car costs or what brand it is. I don't like C4's...so what? I don't go on a vette board telling people about it. Like they care. When I post respectfully on the Z06 board every once in a while someone makes a ricer comment (as a joke usually, where i counter with the balding mid-life crisis car), but not very often. Usually we can both joke about the stereotypes and talk about cars.

People who just go to boards to offer nothing about the car he board is dedicated too, but just go there to "defend" their car..crack me up. It is metal, plastic, and other kinds of material..it doesn't have feelings or an ego to get damaged...obviously some people do!!
