there was a video of a sl65 amg on the 350z site at the drag strip and it was only running high 11.7... seems slow for a car with so much torque and hp.... maybe its all the extra weight?

I think it is safe to say a stock S2k is as fast if not faster than 90 -95% of ALL cars on the road... Probably not 95% of all Benz's

That is like UR Turbo S2000 AND then drop another 1 sec. off of it. The car is 2 tons and pulls on cars like a 911 TT, Ferrari 360, Lambo Murcielago. Any car that go into the 11's is a heavy hitter.The scary thing is with a simple chip upgrade from Renntech it can throw another 40 hp (640 hp) & 90 lb.ft. of tq (840 lb.-ft. of tq).

But I know that when little piddly cars rev on S2000s, there has been a sentiment of "WTF?!" But maybe they wanted to see us run in the same way we like being thoroughly drubbed by a shiny 911TT?
and I love getting stomped by an S2000, absolutely love it. just from one enthusiast to another, its cool to show off your car, i like it when you guys do.
