Maybe the vette needed a tune-up. All I can say is that it felt good to win that one. Especially thinking that I wouldn't.
What made it such a nice victory was that he provoked me into the race with his "blip" of the gas pedal, expressing so much confidence. I translated that to "Hey little Honda 4-banger. You don't want any of this do you?"
The smile that he gave me at the end was the kind of smile that said, "Ouch! that one hurt. Time to bow out"

Well the C4 should actually beat a S2000 too. They tend to trap over 104 in most cases and are pretty much a lightweight, better tuned version of the 93-97 Z28 and 94-97 Trans-Am. Most say the Lt1 F-Bod and a s2000 are even, although I would give the advantage to the LT1 since I have witnessed a mid 13 bone stock run in my cousins 93 Z-28. but that is debatable, the LT1 Vette should pull a S2000, especially on the top end.

1. '91 L98 Vette (same C4 body style as the LT1) - S2000 should win this one, especially from a roll. 2 car lenghts sounds about right.
2. LT1 Vette should be slightly faster than an S2000. Close enough that an S2000 should edge out a win from time to time, especially if the vette is not in a very good shape.
3. Some C4 vettes had an LT4 engines in them. Vette wins convincingly in this case.
4. LS1 C5 - forget about it.
5. LS6 C5 - See scenario #4, times 3.
So it looks like it was the scenario #1 or #2.
Either way, nice kill!

My dads old 01 C5 made 323RWHP and 347RWTQ at Houston Performance so that is what I am talking about. It was a 6-Speed. Considering his car traped 110 bone stock and most S2000's trap about 97-98 yea the Vette just might be out of sight. If you could not tell I was sarcastic you are are a retard!! If you look in MM&FF the 02 SS they tested made 342RWTQ so my #'s are not very off at all. Your Z-28 was a weak car to only make 321 with those mods, most of my buddies 01+ LS1 cars make close to 330 stock, I actually had a buddy make 336RWHP with a drop in filter. Does this make any SENSE to you?
You are living in a dream world my man if you think your dad's stock 01 C5 put down those numbers. And the comment about my Z being weak and most of your buddies 01+ LS1's putting down 330 stock. Buahahhahahahhahahahhahahahha. Only in your imagination. I'm getting quite a kick out of how much you are trying to hype the LS1. You really need to slow down on the magazine racing.
I actually had a buddy make 336RWHP with a drop in filter.
