derryck trapped 112 stock, obviously, no retard would trap 112 in a 500+ rwhp car...And Z06 killr, its on LS1.com, as there are many more, go on there and ask, or better yet go to LS1TECH.com, and educate yourself, as for the turbo S2k being in the Z06 killr territory, yes but a stock one and it still will be close, but a modded one will hand u ur azz, btw the fastest a Z06 has went bone stock (except for tires) is 11.5 at 118.. You can also verify this at LS1tech.com (dragracing section)...

Peace

btw a fine machine u got there , i want boost!!
Thanks. You know the problem with boost... it's never enough. I don't know what a heroine junkie feels like but I'm some kind of boost junkie. It's nice have a factory blown car with a built motor... I have 14-15 psi of boost flowing at 2K RPM's to about 7K. Makes for short tire life but very fun driving.

On a side note... there's a local guy that has a newer TA with the RAM air hood and all that stuff and he's having my mechanic slap a turbo on it. Can't remember what size but I think it was a T-7x... I'm sure it will be a monster.

Alex...stop pretending with those numbers.

I know you have what it takes to talk your dad in to that RENNtech package.

I was going to say....my ol' 300ZX had about 420 rwhp and it was trappin' 117+ mph.....it weighed @ 3800 lbs w/all the stereo stuff...yes he was fat!

Just to clarify, I NEVER OWNED A TURBO S2K, just pointing out that the "kill" story was a turbo s2k vs. a Z06...that's all.

How dare you compare a 2.0 L STOCK car vs. a big ass V8 Z06....come on! I think boosting a little 2 liter should equal the equation.

I totally agree...a modded Z06 is very hard to beat.....now a good set of slicks will most definitely cut about 0.5 secs on the 1/4 on a car with 300lbs/torque or more, which is the case on most Z06's, right? Sorry buddy, a "bone stock" Z06 with slicks is not bone stock....

Derryck....I did not know you got a Cobra....

I feel like a traitor sometimes... until I get back in the car and remember why I like it so much. It really is an amazing car... sure, it's alot straightline power but handles alot better than I expected. It doesn't give up much ground in the cars and I can drive around in 3rd gear at 2K RPM's and nail the gas and go sideways. On a good day I can do it in 4th... you gotta love that.

CrazyBosnian,
If you weren't so quick to post, maybe you would've read derryck's recent post correcting me; he said the same exact thing you did. Read with your eyes, not your mouth.

Peace.

honda606,
I'm working on it. I talked to RENNtech service dept. and they quoted me the same prices online. (He was also hinting that 575hp is a very conservative number.) We didn't get too into the details, but he said to call him back when we get the car.
The guy also said the biggest turnoff for customers is that the car has to be shipped to their facilities...
I'm working on it, though.

Alex that is awesome news.

From some of the videos I have seen of RENNtech equipped Mercedes I completely believe the conservative numbers statement. Just thinking about a 600HP E55 makes me salivate. If you and your father had that done it would definitely be one of the biggest sleepers in Houston. Well....almost as much of a sleeper as your Quest.

And we'll have to meet up, as well; put the butt dyno to the test.
