Civic Four Door Vs Evo VIII
It was at a local street race. The Evo was there already when I got there and it ran a couple of cvic and CRX. Was a new EVO VIII yellow with new plates still on the car. The drive was dropping the clutch like crazy he seem to be driving like he stole it. A friend that develope at the street races came with his redone civic with a B20 rebuilt. Everyone saying that he should run agaist the EVO so he did.
The two car were line up and get set for the launch. Initially the evo jump the gun and it had to restart. The second attempt the civic pulled instant off the line with minmal wheel spin. The evo seem to bog of the line and going slow. The evo was about 1/2 car lenght behind and was not able to pull on the civic. Appeared on first gear both cars pulled even. On second the civic started to pull on the evo and toward the end was able to rev showing that it beat the evo.
The guy in the evo seem very upset kinda funny....

Wait, was the civic a B20/Vtec? If not, it's kinda hard to believe a B20 pulled on a EVO(it would even be a tough race with the B20vtec). But you said a rebuilt, so I'm guessing vtec...??

The owner originally had B16 and decided to go with this route. All I know it rebuilt from the ground up and he has been able to do low 13's with his setup. Suppose to do 225 to the wheels. I believe poor driver is part of the responsibility of the evo utter defeat because it was pretty bad.
