Default Carlsbad Raceway results (Import/European Car Side)

My friend Mike in his 00 S4 finally got his clutch in and made only one pass

His only pass was..

1.8 60'
13.2 E.T
105 Mph

His engine snub mount was destroyed during the 2nd gear shift which shoved his engine 5" back towards the firewall and broke both Intercooler pipe mounts. The firewall now sits 3" back along with his entire engine.

He let off in 2nd gear after hearing the devastation and proceeded to punch it and got a slow shift into 3rd and still made a 13.2 pass; not too shabby

Lee355 made several passes in his S2000, I think his best was..

2.3 60'
14.5 E.T
96-98 Mph?

My friend in the 02 Modified 996 TT made a total of 3 runs. His first run was..

2.3 60'
12.3 E.T
121 Mph

2nd Run..

2.2 60'
12.1 E.T
119 Mph

3rd run was almost identical. Oh... did I mention its an automatic?

My friend in his black C32 best run for the night was..

2.2 60'
13.8 E.T
102 Mph

For my friends with the E36 M3 and the E46 M3 their best was..

E36 M3

2.5 60'
14.8 E.T
95 Mph

E46 M3

2.2 60'
14.1 E.T
100 Mph

There was also a black supercharged S2000 running low 13's. I saw one of his run which was a 13.3, that thing HAULS!

I saw a few fast LS1 and a lot of fast lightning as well. For those of you who were at Carlsbad... What did you think about that cute blonde driving the 11 sec Dodge Charger, she was a hottie Her family however was rather rude. The old guy in the Cowboy hat and his "wife" both told my buddy to move his car in a rude manner. But then again, its Carlsbad, I would'nt expect the locals to know anything about manners

Now for the bright side of the story..

After we left Carlsbad I caught a cold and was the recipient of a SEVERE headache and ended up throwing up 4 times on the journey back to the valley Oh well, at least I slept for 13 hours on Sunday

Oh, about my car..

She never made it to the track. On Friday night, I blew the passenger rear shock mount. Earlier on the day (Friday) I just got done changing out the driver side rear shock mount! 5 hours of wrench work down the drain!

Lots of good runs. Was the track not well prepared? The 60ft times don't seem to be that great.

Nice collection of cars not normally found on a drag strip.

What's the elevation out there, if you know? I assume better than LACR?

I last recall the elevation is somewhere between 200-250 Ft.

Only down side about the track is..

1) 1 mile of dirt road
2) Poorly preped track
3) Hillbilly officials.

I don't know if you saw this but I almost got into a little sparring match with one of these yokels because my tires scooted a little while I was pulling out in reverse to leave. Now if there was only one of them instead of three , things could have gotten a little interesting.

I had no idea you threw up... and 4 times?! Did you ever figure out what caused it?

Nope, probably the dirt, smoke, gas, etc etc gave me a severe headache which in term lead to my stomach troubles.

I kinda wish you had a sparring match with the yokels, we all would have jumped in and rush those bastards!

Your friend posted over at the 911 TT website that his final run was 11.98 ! He has a 911TT with the X50 package (essentially the GT2 engine in the 911TT chassis.
