I don't normally go "driving" on Friday nights (usually Saturday), but today I was bored. I had more runs today than I normally do on a Saturday night. Here's the breakdown.

Modded Camero SS
I rolled up to a light that had a row of cars sitting. I got in the lane next to an SS w/ at least exhaust, but he was in the front row. The light turned green just as I got there, so I didn't have to come to a complete stop, put it in 1st gear. As the car in front of me went when the light turned green, the SS slowly rolled out and revved at me when I got parallel to him. I was already in 1st and engaged, so I floored it and whipped around the car in front of me, to the right. The SS floored it too, but I had gotten 1.5-2 lengths just from jumping before him. He stuck there up to around 70 MPH, then we both shut down due to traffic. A few lights later I let him catch up to me and we dropped at 80, not a great speed for running in an S2000 - but i wasn't planning ahead. He got a half a car and shut down at 100, just as I was starting to get some significant boost. He pulled up next to me later and asked if was SC'ed, "Runs nice!" he said while nodding. I love street racers that appreciate other cars.

300ZX
The car didn't seem to modded at all. He punched it as he rolled through the light I was sitting at. I floored it after rolling out, walked hard. Nothing much else to the story.

Modded Miata
Not sure what he had done, but it had an exhaust. I let the guy rev up and launch at the light, I just rolled out. Once he had 2-3 lengths I floored it. Reeled him in very easy, and continued on past him.

Modded Integra
This kind of thing seems to happen all the time. I came up on this low Integra, modded up. I pretty much pulled up right next to him, matched his speed, and just looked over. No reaction from the two guys, other than exchanging a glance. I went back to my cruising speed and left them alone. 5-6 lights later I see them coming up from behind me. They're traveling much faster than they were before. I let my car slow down to 60 before they catch me so that I can get a full 3rd gear run. They pull up right next to me, I look over...and he drops. I shift into 3rd, and gun it, he gained half a car while I got into gear. 3rd gear brought me past him, with a car-length lead, and I only went through maybe half of 4th gear and had 3-4 lengths.

I saw Miata, got my hopes up, thought you played with a modified Miata...figured there was a good race within.

A Miata without intercooler is considered a stock Miata...not modded.

The only race here was the Camaro ss and probably the Z, if turbo.

I have no idea, looked "new", was the champagne/tan color.

I was just wondering, because i have a friend who has a 1996 Camaro SS and i know he took a little trip up to Houston last week, but im not sure what day it was.
