Camaro Z28 Vs S2000

Exhaust will give you about 4-5hp, but to really get hp gain you are best off with the turbo. The turbo will get you into the 12.6's, the SC you are looking at very low 13's. If the guy knows how to drive the new Camaro will be slightly faster than you. If he has mods, and you do to he probably has an even greater advantage (Camaros gain more from the basic mods). CAI, headers, exhaust are the basic. VAFC, turbos, SC are your next bet.

Most bolt-on mods won't help you much. Better to try to dump as much weight as possible before the race. Have you removed your spare tire and tool kit in the trunk yet? Maybe your passenger seat too... also have only enough gas as you need (2 or 3 bars?).
I bought my exhaust and header knowing it wouldn't make much power, but also considered the weight savings would help a little. If buying a dual exhaust, you'll need something with exotic materials (Titanium) to save any weight (Mugen or Amuse = $$$$$!!).
Good luck.

brushman-
I don't "care," but it gives me a mental picture.
He also said they were "guys." Is that really important to you? What are you, some kind of chauvinist!?!
This is not a crime report, it is people relating situations and happenings. The more detail a poster provides, the more complete the mental picture, and the better the story. If that is a problem for you, go shoot yourself, because literature is based on mental pictures, and personal appearance is often used to describe individual people.
You cannot just get everyone to say "I saw a person, and said person did stuff." That story is useless, since it contains no information, either about the individual, the situation, or the event, which are the three reasons we are reading the story.

There is nothing wrong or offensive with mentioning a persons race.
Quote:
I have these Mexican guys who want to race me in there modded Z28 from what I understand they are pretty powerful... We kinda got into it a little bit but not a whole bunch.
But, where in this instance does it add to the story? How does there being Mexican (assuming that they are, there are lots of other Latin American races that you would have trouble telling them apart) affect their Z28, their mods or the question of will I win?
It would add to the story if:
1. They were playing Guadalajara as they raced
2. If one of the "Mexicans", said "NOS, we don't need no stink'n NOS"
3. If the Z28 had "dingle balls" in the interior and a Mack Truck Bulldog on the hood
4. As the race was being run the "Mexicans" pulled into a taco shop and lost
These could be some of the many reasons to mention the "Mexican" race.
You never see threads that starts with "I thinking of racing these "White Guys" in my neighborhood"
This isn't a PC issue, but a WHY???? issue.
As far as the chauvinist issue, WTF
This is just my STINKING...NO GOOD... DRUNK...POTATO EATING...MICK point of view.
