Camaro Z28 Vs S2000
I have these mexican guys who want to race me in there modded Z28 from what I understand they are pretty powerful... We kinda got into it a little bit but not a whole bunch.
But it looked like it would be a good race..
I just ordered my Intake and Header.......
What else do I need to help prepare me for this race.. like what Peformance upgrade besides Exhaust should I do next thats gonna add the most horse besides like a super or turbo...
I need to win this one...

Sorry to say this but if its a newer Z28 (LS1) then you are basically screwed. He should beat you even if his car is stock. All I can suggest is race from at least a 25mph roll and hope he can't shift very well.
But you still drive a better overall car.

Header and intake are sensible mods for an S2000 IMHO. If it's a 285bhp version, they may give you enough. A lot of the Camaros are autos aren't they? Make sure you suse the full rev range of you gears. Beyond that, I'd think about weight loss. There are big weight savings to be made on exhaust and wheels. What am I doing posting in this forum??

How modded is the Z28? If its a 96 it will have an Lt1, and either a 6 speed manual or 4 speed automatic. If you know what mods and tranny the guy(s) have you can make a rough estimate of what you'll need to run to guaruntee a win. Basic mods on an F-body will make much more difference than on an S2k, so if he has a lot of bolt-ons you might want to look into a nitrous kit.
