Bolt on stock turbo EVO 8 vs. GT35R WRX STi
Another upgraded turbo car or ya guys. Im still on straight pump gas here, 23-24psi. Just ran 11.94@118 like this Sunday afternoon. STi has bolt ons, flash, Perrin GT35R, FMIC, yada. He put down 419awhp on DynoDynamic. Enjoy. He is on pump too.
For any non beilevers in the stock turbo :hail:

i would think the sti would make a comback as speeds elevated, but it seemed that the evo drive hit the brakes before that could occur on each of the runs...
on the other hand, with dynodynamics dynos reading very similarly to dynojets now, it is hard to tell who actually has more power, or even how good the whp claims are on each car without seeing some trap speeds...
Just goes to show that dyno numbers are just that.... numbers...

well dyno numbers dont matter for the Evo as the guy trapped 118mph, and consistent 117.5x's....
whether the STi will reel in the Evo is not the main point IMHO; main point is the Evo is on the stock turbo with pump gas!!!! (93 oct) with that much investment into the STi it'd be surprising for the stock turbo Evo to just hang with it, let along beat it...
i do agree though the 2nd run the STi's tach climbed pretty damn slow...hmmmm

I'm not going to get into a big debate here because of imminent thread-lock, but I'll say just a couple of things.
1. You can't compare dyno numbers from 2 different dyno's on 2 different days, even using the same car, so the numbers presented are inaccurate at best.
2. I would expect the Super 16G-sized stock EVO turbo to allow it to get the jump on the GT35R STi, but not for long.
3. A decently-tuned GT35R STi with the proper supporting mods should kill a stock-turbo EVO, which is why you posted the video; it's different from the norm.
