Beat an SLK320 and a Mustang
First time I raced in quite a while. Coming home from Spiderman, pulling away from a light about 3rd in line, the right lane opened up and I sped up to pass a van in my lane (hit about 5K in 2nd) and I hear a roar behind me. It's a silver SLK 320 (not Kompressor) who has cut across 2 lanes to follow me around slow cars. But then he stays right on my butt.
I gunned it and pulled away a bit and moved to the center lane and we got caught at the next light. Then a Mustang (not even a GT) pulled up on my left. Light changes and I didn't drop at all (trying to go easy after glazing my clutch at the track). So the SLK gets about 1 1/2 cars, and the Mustang I guess wanted to try too, 'cause I heard his engine wind up as we left, but he never had a chance. In 2nd I pulled even, and in 3rd I just drove away from him. Put 3 cars on him by 80MPH and left off. The Mustang was about 10?? cars back. I slowed to the speed limit and was going to wave, but they both drove by without looking. Oh well.
Followed the SLK for 2 miles; wouldn't you know it, he lives in the same subdivision as me. Not too exciting. The movie was better.
