Track conditions were absolutely horrible. Water all over the track. Everyone was going through the burnout box and soaking the track. No one was running anything worth a crap. WS6 TAs were hitting low 14s I ran four runs and spun terribly bad on all runs.

1st run - Me vs. Eclipse GS w/ intake & exhaust
Me = 14.742
Eclipse = 17.479

2nd run- Me vs. VW Jetta 1.8T w/ big turbo & intercooler.
Me = 14.759
Jetta = 15.382

3rd run - Me vs. Chevy 4x4 pickup w/ NOS and a humongo carb - He ran in 4wd and fouled. I totally missed 3rd gear.
Me = 15.006
Chevy 4x4 = 15.387

4th run - Me vs. LT1 Camaro with loud ass exhaust
Me = 14.630
Z28 = 14.621
The timeslip said I won by .1592. I don't quite understand how his 1/4 was a bit faster but I won. I was clearly ahead at the finish line too. Clearly his 1/4 was faster but I was happy.

Me vs Z28 run
ME Z28
RT = .944 1.112
60' =2.318 2.145
330= .000 6.189
1/8= 9.475 9.472
MPH= 75.23 75.33
1000=12.270 12.270
1/4 = 14.630 14.621
MPH = 94.98 95.86
Left 1st = .1592

One more comment: I ran with the airbox lid OFF after the first run. Apparently it doesnt make much difference.

Water or not, good job Aaron. What kind of times do you normally run? Where were you, IRP?

Thats the first time I have run this car on a drag strip so I dont have usual times. Yes it was IRP. They get a bit out of hand there on the "Teen/HS nights" and encourage EVERYONE to go through the burnout box and get the crowd pumped. This of course soaked the track and screwed everyones times. The veteran old guys there wouldn't even run it was so bad.

The Jetta spun more than I did and started yanking in on me until I finally got it in 3rd gear then we were even. It was a sad race for both of us. The intercooler was huge and it sounded like an F16 through a 4" tip. He said he had a big turbo in it. Flames shot out the tailpipe later on when I watched him race. Kinda cool to see a Jetta out there running with mods.

boiler - They are running again Tuesday night if you are intersted. Must have a helmet or Bum one and $10.
