my friend with a LS swapped crx ate an 04-05 up on the 1/8.

04= 350hp 05=400hp. So it would make a difference which year it was.

Trust me, the LS1 auto versions need alot less than a SC to pull a S2K from a roll. With a SC they will RUN away from a roll.

You are speaking without a clue as to what you are talking about. Not to be an ass, but you need to research what you say and not just assume you know something. While yes, the GTO is a very heavy car, it has ample power to make up for it.
S2000
2800/240 = 11.67lbs per hp unit

GTO
3750/350 (04 model) = 10.71lbs per hp unit

3750/400 (05+) = 9.375lbs per hp unit.

He won because he raced an Auto, not because of power to weight. Which is even less of a factor at high speed so the GTO's advantage is even greater when you are rolling.

i posted a story on honda tech about a simliar situation, i raced a GTO, must have been a LS1 and he barely pulled on me, from a 60-115 roll he pulled on me my front bumper was at his door/fender very close, he had a loud loud exhaust, i couldn't even see his exhaust.

it turned into 15 pages of crap. =/ im glad to see im not the only one.

That site is crap, and is getting even crappier. I stopped going to it after about a week of looking at it (and that was 4 years ago).
