Default Beat a GTO?

So I was on the freeway headed home from work at around 2:30 AM when I see two blueish HID's and some lower fogs coming up on me pretty quick. Thinking it was an IS300 and seeing that there was no one on the freeway I decided to play with him a bit. I dropped it into 4th and gave him a run and after awhile I shut down thinking he pulled onto the other freeway but low and behold he was coming at me again. Downshifted again into 4th and took off to about 130 when he finally backed off and I slowed back down and tried to match up with him and give him a thumbs up. We got even and I gave him a thumbs up asking him what it was and to my surprise it was a GTO. We did another run rolling at about 45-50mph. I got the jump and it pretty much stayed that way This definately doesn't sound right - considering the numbers they put out. Guess I just got lucky

Their heavy cars... power to weight ratio in our favor

once they add a SC.... then they pull away from a roll

Funny thing, I pulled on a GTO the other week too. I was on the freeway, blah blah blah. he lined up with me, he took off first and i went after him. i had to left off a few times before i hit his back bumper. I was actually surprised, 350-400hp is really intimidating when u look over, but I guess they're not as fast as i assumed. I wonder how it would have been from a dig.

I test drove a 06" GTO and that car pulls hard!!! It will definitely rape a stock s2k from a roll or dig.

LS2 versions...the one he met up with had to be an LS1 auto. That car weighs nearly 4000 lbs.

Yea, it was an auto for sure, because I heard the lag in his car when he gunned it. I don't know much between the differences in GTO's, but I know it was one of the newer ones because it looked like my friends 06 GTO and I've driven his, it's really really heavy.
