My friend took me for a "drive" in his STi V4 Type R (Coupe) down a lane near his farm. It was the scariest trip of my life! That car defies not only acceleration laws but also the laws of lateral adhesion! I strongly suggest not taking one on unless you fancy a field trip while trying!

I can tell u that the new WRX STI 6 spd is better and faster than the EVO 7... EVO might have better cornering becuz of the AYC.. but STI has better straight line performance.. i test drove one last wk...

Yea.. The Mitsubishi company brought some of their new concept/future cars to my school, I couldn't believe it. I saw a sick ass red car and I was like "Is that the Evo VII", and a rep was all "yep" and I was like "holy shiet." The car is supposed to dust a lot of cars. 333 HP I think? around there, Turbo which pushes about 12, and also AWD! Also I'm not sure if the seats were stock but they were some dope Sparco racing seats. I sat in the right hand drive vehicle and it felt fast just sitting in it. In a lot of the magazines, they put the EVO VII as 280 HP cuz I guess there's some weird limit in Japan where cars are only supposed to be 280, so that's what mitsubishi put it as although it was more, 333 or so.

I was asking the rep if they were gonna import these but 2 large factors basically kept it from coming over here. Of course emissions. If they were to lower the emissions on the vehicle, it'd only have 260 HP or so and also the airbag on the car is the size of a jiffy pop popcorn bag. Also the front end of the car is really weak with basically no impact absorbers.

This car is supposed to be faster than the STI (that's what the rep told me).

OK, I don't know about the new 6 speed WRX, but compared to the 5 speed one, the EVO7 is supposed to be faster and better in handling.

The battle goes on and on forever between Subaru and Mitsubitshi ... It's all about coming up with the better AYC. I posted this somewhere before.

Last time I checked, EVO VII does 60mph in 4.3 and 1/4 in 13 flat.
That's with a magazine driver which means, it could turn in better numbers with more experienced driver.
I would definitely watch out for those when they hit the street this winter.

Have you guys noticed that cars in general are getting a LOT faster out of factory these days?
It's almost like "who will develop faster car cheaper" race.
Of course EVO has been around for some time though.
