Another one bites the dust: Volume I
Well I was out two nights ago in the XT. It was only 19 degrees GREAT turbo weather. I tried to take the RX-7 out before, but the combination of the cold roads and cold tires equals too much spinning. So AWD was the way to go tonight. I was just out cruising ..OKAY my wife sent me to the store.
Anyway on my way to the store I see some very weird looking taillights. Turns out it was a white Crossfire with MI tags. I pull along side of it at the light. It was pretty dark so I could not tell who was driving it. Anyway the light turns green and I take off fast only to be stopped at another light. I actually was not trying to race him/her I was trying to beat the next light before it turned red. I assume the driver of the Crossfire thought it was an open invitation. In any case the driver kept rolling up, then stopping, rolling up, then stopping. When the light turned green s/he took off pretty well I must say, so much so the XT's front bumper was maybe at the driver door by the time I had a chance to react with my right foot. By the time I hit 50 or 55 I was about 1.5 cars ahead of the Crossfire.
The funny thing is when I looked back s/he turned VERY quickly on the next side street. It was as if s/he wasn't planning to make that turn. Wonder why?
Another one bites the dust will return soon with another kill

I actuallly kind of like the forester. I didn't think those things were that quick, but then again the crossfires are hardly anything to write home about.
Good kill!

The Forester XT is one hellraiser; it is very quick esp. at low speeds, like below 100mph. According to C&D, 0-60 in 5.3 and 1/4mi in 13.8. That's pretty awesome!
I have one question about it though: how the hell did it manage 1.3 seconds 0-30mph, according to C&D? That's beating the Enzo's 1.5 seconds, and almost everything out there. AWD? Sure! But then again, an STI and Evo are both AWD and much more powerful, but could only dream of such time.
