99% of you know but some others dont
Im a Car Dealer here in my town for Honda.... I do a little bit of the financing part so that means im involved with warranties as well....
Ive read through a few posts and though i should post this...
IF YOU DO ANYTHING TO THE ENGINE THE WHOLE WARRANTY IS VOIDED... Not some of it but all of it.
Like i said 99% of you already knew that but though id say it again anyway
But dont let that hold you back ive voided my warranty long ago

Not true. It is up to Honda to prove conclusively that your modifications affected the part that is being warrantied.
This has been discussed many times before. You can take them to court and the burden of proof lies with them.

S2kRob is correct.
There is actually a LAW to protect consumers from this. If your dealership tries to void a warranty because of someone's intake, when they have a bad piston ring, then your dealership is a shady one.
It's against the law for a dealership to void a warranty because someone has modified their car. The dealership must prove that the modification was the direct cause of the failed part. I actually believe this is a federal law.

I think he might be talking about the extended warranties. In this case, if it is stated in the actual contract you sign, then they can void it.
The standard warranty that comes with the car though, they can't.

Why do then half the southern california honda dealerships offer after market parts for brand new hondas. You can also finance these parts in the new car purchase. Honda dealerships say bolt on parts are OK. As long as you do not go internal like cams and any forced induction.
