So much for the sleeper approach with your buddy's hatch...the license plate kinda gives it away

either from a roll or launch, i think the hatch shouldve have taken you. I ran my buddy's s2k (toda cams, valvetain, header, apex exh, tuned vafc, injen intake) in my old EG (b20vtec, b16 trans, itr header, ctr cams) and ive taken him from both a roll and launch. My other buddy's w/ stock b18c(ITR) EG used to whoop my ass on the freeway and a launch. He ran a 13.4 on street tires.

well it was dead even from 1st 2nd and 3rd...4th vtec i started pulling and 5th just kept pulling and ended about 2 cars ahead goin 200+km.. then we both let off...this was done on highway of coz...his has no internals and just bolt ons but i sure he could be alot faster if the engine is properly tuned

Sounds like a great race, the EG hatch with ITR swap is a lethal combination. I know of somebody with such a swap + i/h/e and some other goodies (cant remember off the top of my head), and he's running 12.79's, n/a.

we finally both weighed our rides last tuesday night...it turned out that my s2 weight was amazingly not much heavier than the eg...my03 weighed in at 1220 kg=2684 lbs and my buddies eg weighed in at 1090 kg=2398 lbs...note that both cars were weighed with no driver in it...also we raced again..this time i launched at 6500 rpm...pretty much same results as b4..1st to 3rd pretty even then 4th started pulling...i guess wait til he gets some internals done and weight reduction then it be a different story

This would be a good race... from a roll!

If you ran straight header on the type r hatch, the hatch would win for sure.
