Default 93 civic b18c5 swap vs 03 s2000

hi was wondering my friend just picked up a 93 hatchback eg with b18c5 swap with basic bolt ons i/h/e with stock ecu with mugen chip 9000 rpm redline..was wondering what can it do to a s2k? we haven't officially raced yet but his eg is faster than normal but my s2 feels faster...maybe cuz of the tq? my s2 is a 2003 with spoon filter, spoon airduct, t1r exhaust, t1r testpipe, toda 4-2-1 header, t1r vpower voltage stabilizer, t1r grounding kit, and street tuned vafc and weight reduced to about 2650 lbs..what u guys think or has anyone ran one of these eg's with similair mods?

This would be a good race... from a roll!

If you ran straight header on the type r hatch, the hatch would win for sure.

k my friend comes over to visit with his b18c5 swapped eg civic and we decided to end this plot...raced 4 times..2 of them from dead stop but no launching cuz didn;t want to fuk up my diff which was bad idea for me, friend driving behind us helping us do 3 honks...both results ended my s2 bogged like crazy from start and the b18c5 got the jump...he was 1.5 cars ahead...dead even no pulling away from eachother til about end of 3rd gear vtec hitting into 4th gear i started pulling and catching up...then 3rd try was from a red light, so i decided fuk it..this time try launching...side stepping my clutch waiting for the light to turn green...fuked up on the launch and launched at 4k rpms...1st gear was a lil ahead of the eg around a bumper all the way til end of 3rd gear vtec started pulling and 4th gear pulled about 1 car and 5th gear ended about almost 2 cars ahead...3rd race was more legitimate..as we both agreed...4th race was from a 80 km roll...the roll my s2000 had the advantage all the way 2nd gear was about same, 3rd gear pulled about a car and 4th gear was about 2 cars ahead also...then we both let it off....i guess from all this..since we both got about same driving skills the s2000 just has alot more hp,bigger litre engine and higher end against the less hp, less liter, lighter weight car...but all i can say is wow his civic is fast...both cars are not stock...both cars with i/h/e/vafc...but i to my experience with this civic i think he can possibly take a stock s2000 considering mine also has a lil weight reduced...

here is a pic of us after the race...my other car audi a4(friend was driving it helping us do the honking)

Sweet rides! Good race too! If you were stock the hatch most likely would have won.

Nice, and you closed the gap off the line too. Your s2000 sounds pretty quick. You should run the 1/4 mile, just to see what it runs.

ya i wouldn't mind trying...but just got no time...its definitely alot faster than stock..now my next mods is need to do better drivetrain and more weight reduction b4 i get into internals...but all i know is i think my buddy's b18c5 eg and my s2 is whoever wins is depends on the launch and driver...maybe the s2 has a lil slight advantage in the highend but qtr mile the eg might have the upper edge a bit but after that the s2 will pull in the long run

ya i wouldn't mind trying at the drag strip to see where my s2 is at now...just no time too busy...and ya its definitely alot faster than stock...my next mods now is waiting for my lighter wheels to come in and drivetrain and more weight reduction b4 i get into the serious engine mods "internals"..but all i can say is from last nights race with friends b18c5 eg is all about the driver..whoever gets a better launch will win but i think the eg might have the upper hand in the qtr mile but after that the s2 will pull for sure

Sweet! The setup on my 03 s2000 was similiar to yours. I'm guessing your car should be good for mid 13's no problem, quicker w / the gears, clutch and flywheel. Esp cool air in Canada.
