550 Maranello
I saw one for the first time today. I didn't race him or anything like that. He was at my local McDonalds in the parking lot. That car is amazing. It isn't as big as I thought it would be. I watched him pull out and then get onto the highway. The engine sounded great. I am just in awe of this car. Maybe that will be my next one. (wishful thinking)

On the way home from the dealership, I thought that I was so cool for having an S2000. Then a 550 Maranello blew by me on the highway, and suddenly I didn't feel so cool anymore.
But seriously, those cars are an amazing piece of art.

Go here:

And then just click Ferrari and they start on the 3rd page. This is a great site by the way for any large pictures of cars.

You know...
My uncle has a country place, that no one knows about, he says it used to be a farm, before the motor law... Sundays I elude the 'Eyes' and hop the turbine freight to far outside the wire, where my white haired uncle waits...
I jump to the ground as the turbo slows to cross the borderline, run like the wind, excitement shivers up and down my spine!
Down in the barn my uncle preserved for me an old machine for fifty odd years, to keep it as new has been his dearest dream.
I strip away the old debris that hides the shining car, a brilliant Red Barchetta from a better vanished time. Fire up the willing engine, responding with a roar, tires spitting gravel I commit my weekly crime......
Wind in my hair
Shifting and Drifting
Mechanical Music
Adrenalin surge!
Well weathered leather
Hot metal and oil
The scented country air...
Sunling on chrome
The blur of the landscape
Every nerve aware!
Suddenly ahead of me, across the mountainside, a gleaming alloy air car shoots towards me two lanes wide. I spin around with shrieking tires, to run the dealy race, go screaming through the valley as another joins the chase!
Drive like the wind
Straining the limits of machine and mand
Laughing out loud
With fear and hope, I've got a desperate plan
At the one-lane bridge I leave the giants stranded by the riverside, race back to teh farm to dream with my undle at the fireside...

I always wanted a Red Barchetta!!!
Maybe if I can get 375,000 people to each send me a dollar, I can buy that one...

Once I saw a Modena, and I couldn't think straight anymore. I tried to get as close to it as possible by swerving into the left turn lane (it was an intersecting road), not realizing that the car would go straight. I had to wait until someone would let me into the right turn lane, and by that time the Ferrari was long gone. At least I got to hear it!
