Young S2K, you obviously don't have a clue what you are talking about.....

"I hate 300ZX=big/fat/domestic interior/bad fuel injections/bad electiral problems"

Are they big and heavy? You bet but a stock 300Z will still toast you. If you beat "plenty of stock 300Z's" it was because they were not trying.

Domestic interior? You probably were to a junkyard and sat down in the wrong car. Again, this is probably your opinion but as a proud owner of both cars I can honestly tell you the interior of the Z much better than the S2K.

Bad fuel injections? You were still playing in the junkyard. I have owned 3 300ZX, all twin turbos and have never had a problem with them.....(only with the last one but of course I am running mid 12's at over 118mph).

Bad electrical problems? Leave the junkyard already! These cars came out in 1990.....tell me how your S2K runs in 2011....

If you are ever in the area, please let me know, I know a bunch of 300Z's that would love to eat your lunch......

Elanderhorm,

Hmmm you are right about several things.....one thing you are not right about (or that I don't agree with you about-that sounds better) is that stock for stock the S2000 is faster.

Lots of stock 300Z TT's are running 13.5-14.2 on the 1/4. That is comparable to the S2000's........agreed??????????

OK, we are OK thus far, keep in mind the trap speed, the 300ZX in stock form is crossing the line at 105mhp+, that is 5mhp faster than the S2K......sorry, after that you got turbos just wound up and that is where you will see most of the difference.

I am also refering to his post " I have raced a TT with exhaust and intake" , that combination alone on a 300Z yields about 25-30 hp at the wheels!...reprogram the ECU for another 45hp at the wheels and the race is more than over.

Guys, I love my S2K but that video......sorry to tell you, that is one sorry driver on a very heavy automatic non turbo Z.........that would be like an automatic S2000 with no Vtec and with 1000 more lbs.........get my drift?

S2SaV,

You got yourself a dream match.....I have 7 guys in San Francisco, with "modded" Z's that are willing to race you any time, either on 0-60 or 1/4 mile or top speed......just tell me where and when....we will have it videotaped and posted, what do you say?

What part of bay area you from? i have two friends who have s2000's and have raced two others, not once have i losted to one, i have beaten them by a good car length if not more on one race. i have a heavily modded NA thats equivalent to a TT..there is no way an s2000's can hang w/ a TT when its turbo's spool...no way..s2000's are TORQLESS suckers, that are only fast if your running 9k RPMS the whole time...waste of money if you ask me...and a waste of gas, im from SF if any of yall think your s2000's can beat a TT, or even a NA at the least, i would love to put this thread to rest and let everyone know the truth.

QuikAg,

No offense taken. Z06's are fast mother's and I would never dog on them.....My best time is 12.51 @ 118.9 mph.

I have seen stock Z06's run close times (2002 models-more hp) but with trap speeds 4-5 mph slower. There are two profesional drivers in town that even race SCCA at a competitive level. They own Z06's. Their best times have been 12.6 and 12.7 (exhaust only) but trap speeds of about 114-115, no more.

Most of the Z06's I have seen run high 12's but YES, it is because the drivers.

I AM NOT DOGGIN ON Z06'S!!, I just know my car is faster...than most. I have raced them and I am dead even with them till about 100mph...after that I can pull on them pretty good.

KEEP IN MIND THEIR CARS ARE "ALMOST" STOCK though.

automatic Z's are actually FASTER than manuel, b/c of shifting faster, and less turbo lag..
